Public bug reported: I have an HP DeskJet 952C printer I set up with the normal GNOME print manager. It's ignoring all of my settings related to color, though.
The Advanced setting tab offers the following settings: *PageRegion (Letter) *Resolution, Quality, Ink Type, Media Type (Controlled by 'Printout Mode' *Printout Mode (Draft Grayscale) With the above settings, the resulting test page (from 'Print a Test Page') is full color. I can change to Resolution, Quality, Ink Type, Media Type setting to '300dpi, Draft, Grayscale, Black + Color Cartr.' and print the test page again, but it still prints color. So the color settings in the printer properties simply aren't getting applied. This worked fine in Dapper and all before it. ** Affects: gnome-cups-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium Status: Confirmed -- HP DeskJet 952C ignores color/grayscale settings https://launchpad.net/bugs/74064 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
