Looking at http://projects.gnome.org/totem/ They say before filing bugs to make sure that is the latest version of totem and gstreamer that you are running. I am therefore leaving the status as incomplete and would ask you to please test this against the development version of ubuntu (oneiric) and report back if you are having the issue here.
