Hi, I have the same problem. I tried to add new song to the playlist when the Rhythmbox froze. When I tried to restart it crashed. I don't know, what the problem is.
I use Ubuntu 11.10 beta, and Rhythmbox is 2.90.1~20110802-0ubuntu2.
