I think that the problem is, on edgy, the locale on fstab: #/dev/hda1 /windows ntfs-3g auto,silent,locale=pt_BR.iso88591,umask=0 0 0 /dev/hda1 /windows ntfs-3g silent,umask=0,silent,locale=en_US.utf8 0 0 Using english now works as well!
