Hi, I just found this thread by Google search for "ntfs hangs nautilus."
I am a newbie who just installed Linux Mint and have it mounting my NTFS hard drives. I'm trying to do some file copy operations using Nautilus and the windows will just grey out and cause the whole system to bog down. However, I am able to execute copy operations normally at the command line. I had the same symptom when I loaded the Banshee music player and told it to index my Audio folder which takes most o a 2TB NTFS drive. The Banshee player also just froze and greyed out on me. That's the same symptom as the file manager, so being a newbie I'm not sure if the common issue would be with Nautilus, the linux ntfs driver, Gnome, or what. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Ideally I am hoping that I can continue using my NTFS drives as they are using some kind of modern Linux home desktop setup. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/698109 Title: Nautilus freezes when separate File Operation is interrupted with Error To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/698109/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
