I suppose whether you think the modern world moves in those ways or not depends on your point of view. Anyway, to be clear, I didn't mean to imply that there is something wrong with innovation and positive change. But the startup sounds have not undergone such a change - the previous sounds were really professional and would be a great way for users to identify Ubuntu. The current ones have not got those attributes. Ubuntu hasn't changed its awesome logo, because users will identify with it. There was no need to change the awesome startup sounds either.
