I've got the exact same problem on Ubuntu Natty. The debug output is huge since it contains a lot of references to all the songs in my database. Should it still be posted here ? (> 20MB text file).
While playing with the settings, i noticed this crash was less prone to happen with the crossfading backend enabled.
