Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

here is a good description of this bug:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/19323/nautilus-wont-browse-my-usb-hard-drive-unless-i-double-click-it-twice

to reproduce this bug:

- make sure that pluggin in your usb device (external hard drive or usb
stick) does not automatically trigger nautilus to open

- double-click the desktop icon of your device the first time: nautilus
won't open (that's the bug)

- double-clicking it again actually opens nautilus

- you have to double-double-click a device desktop icon to open the
device in nautilus

this bug exists for a long time. I am pretty sure that it existed for
Ubuntu 10.xx and it still does in Ubuntu 11.04
