Public bug reported: I've been generating 960x540 proxy versions of 1080p video shot on a 5D Mark II. On roughly half the videos, I get this error when trying to transcode:
ERROR 5106 qtdemux.c(4330): gst_qtdemux_chain (): /GstPipeline:pipeline15/GstDecodeBin2:decodebin215/GstQTDemux:qtdemux15: no 'moov' atom within the first 10 MB Oddly, the same error causing videos seem to play OK through Totem, so it seems to be related to the nature of my transcode pipeline, the code for which is here: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~dmedia/dmedia/trunk/view/head:/dmedia/transcoder.py I'm not sure if the MOV files from the 5D Mark II are badly behaved as far as the spec goes, or if the 10 MB boundary mentioned in the error is just too small. Either way, Novacut certainly needs the videos produced by these cameras to work. When I get back to the states, I'll uploaded some of the offending videos to a public location so others can reproduce this error.
