Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit
When using gedit 2.30.4 with syntax highlighting (e.g. LaTeX), there is a delay in updating the screen when typing long paragraphs. There is no problem when syntax highlighting is switched off. This mainly affects my LaTeX work because with programming languages (e.g. Python or R) the lines are short. This occurs both on GNOME 2 and Unity using Ubuntu 11.04 (also was a problem with Ubuntu 10.10 and gedit 2.30.3). No problem with gedit 2.30.0 on Ubuntu 10.04.
