Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gtk2-engines
The color schemes for GTK2 under Unity (and possibly before Unity, under Gnome) are inconsistent. I have included two screenshots to show the problem. Both are of K9Copy using the same exact color scheme/theme. The first is opening K9Copy after applying the color scheme, the second is opening K9Copy and then applying the theme in "appearances". As can obviously be seen the results are dramatically different, in the first case letters are not visible at all and the theme is unusable, the second case the image is clear and text is the color it is supposed to be.
