Yes, I find the same behavior using ls,rm,ln,mkdir. However, I just saw
that for commands to open programs, e.g. acroread or gimp, the behavior
is normal adding a \ after folders when giving a additional variable,
i.e. a file to open, to the program  in the command line using the tab
completion. Strangely, also the command  "more" does behave normal,
while "less" does not.
