Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel
After upgrading from 10.10 to 11.04 about 5 days ago, things went well. Even though I could not log in with the Unity as the desktop, I was able to continue with the Ubuntu Classic option which inlcudes gnome desktop. Then, 3 days ago I updated using the update-manager and the login theme and the desktop theme changed, to the worse since no icons are being shown (see attached screenshot). I've been updating ever since hoping it would resolve but it has not so i'm filing this bug. This might be a similar bug but since there's no details I decided to file a new one: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/376309 Regards, Rok ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: gnome-panel 1:2.32.1-0ubuntu6.2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-8.41-generic-pae 2.6.38.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-8-generic-pae i686 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: i386 CheckboxSubmission: 6479480437d8b286ea76ba7590e0552c CheckboxSystem: b845c366ea09c60efa3a45c1b5b21525 Date: Fri Apr 8 08:51:24 2011 GConfNonDefault: /apps/panel/general/applet_id_list=[applet_3,applet_4,applet_2,notification_area_screen0,applet_0,applet_5] /apps/panel/general/object_id_list=[object_5,object_4,object_3,object_2,object_1,object_0] /apps/panel/general/toplevel_id_list=[top_panel_screen0] InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" - Beta i386 (20100318) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_US:en PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-panel UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to natty on 2011-03-27 (11 days ago) ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 natty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/754341 Title: Gnome desktop does not show icons -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
