This bug affects me still as of Ubuntu 10.10 (keyboard focus is lost when screensaver exits; application has focus, but not keyboard docus). Alt+Tab works to switch out and back in, restoring keyboard focus. Seems to happen with all applications, but I did not test this claim thoroughly. I use Opera browser and have it running most of the time.
