Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
Menus brought up with the right mouse button have dark and light bands
which do not align properly with the text. This happens also with the
indicator applet (right-click) menus. See the attached screenshot for an
example.
Note that I have the gnome-panel sized to 32 pixels (which results in a
weird-looking lighter band at the bottom of the panel due to a
combination of the background image not being stored with enough
vertical pixels in the theme and not being scaled), but that does not
affect the menu striations - changing gnome-panel to 24 pixels high
gives exactly the same menu effect.
