I had crash with Brasero, when attempting to copy a CD, and found the error message by starting Brasero from a terminal:
GLib-ERROR **: g_variant_new: expected array GVariantBuilder but the built value has type `(null)' As suggested, I installed "cdrdao" with Synaptic (default repositories), the issue was then resolved.
