Binary package hint: gdm
The error occurred while attempting to cure a login problem (Ubuntu is
running in low graphics mode) by uninstalling and then reinstalling gdm
(and a number of other packages as well, e.g. compiz (core, plugins and
manager), xserver-xgl, csm, cgwd & cgwd-themes). The reinstallation of
gdm included the upgrade mentioned above.
