Public bug reported: Binary package hint: eog
lsb_release -rd says Ubuntu is 10.10 About Ubuntu says strangely : Ubuntu 11.04 - the Natty Narwhal - released in April 2011 and supported until October 2012. Eye of GNOME is 2.32.0 When double-clicking on an image stored on my desktop the image viewer fails to start. The circular "hourglass" symbol keeps on rotating for a while then stops. Right-clicking on the image and selecting Open with Image Viewer will start image viewer and seemingly has opened the file but no image is shown. The happens after first boot. If I open the Desktop directory in Nautilus (Places -> Desktop from the menu) and then double-click on the image it is displayed ok. If I then go back to my desktop and try to open the same image it is displayed normally.
