Having the same problem here; cannot run my desktop anymore because gnome-panel keeps crashing, but don't know why. ( this is under Edgy ) There is a post in the forums about this, and the person came up with the following solution; he created another user and copied his stuff from his home folder to yhe new users folder and the problem was gone. Here is my backtrace as well. I'll install the dbg versions mentioned above now and post the rest later.
