I have had this issue from version 7 of Ubuntu until the current 10.10. This is VERY ANNOYING.
I do not agree with the statement that this is an app bug: I do agree that it would be nice to have the right corner with this, but the corner without the triangle should work normal as well. At the moment I get RSI when trying to enlarge a window.
