Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon
When I click on the volume slider of an app such as Totem or Rhythmbox, the multimedia keys on my keyboard cease to function until I click outside the app's volume slider to deactivate it. This doesn't involve just the keys I've mapped to control the volume but all the multimedia keys. Also, I have a feeling I've seen this with other active elements (i.e. not just the application volume sliders), but I can't recall those specifics right now. I'll add them to this report if I find them. I'm running up-to-date Lucid (amd64). I suspect this could be related to Bug #388547, but thought I'd report this as separate first and let wiser minds decide on whether this is a duplicate. ** Affects: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/689616 Title: Multimedia keys don't work when an app's volume slider is active -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
