Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

As from approximatively 2 weeks ago, there has been an issue with sending SMTP
mails, especially those going through Yahoo account. Sometimes, it worked,
sometimes not, without any change in between. Mails simply remained stuck in
outbox.
Until a few days ago, I could synchronize inbound mails with Yahoo mailbox (POP
transactions). Since then, it became impossible.
So now it is with both SMTP AND POP!
Error messages (in a French environment):
"impossible de se connecter au serveur POP pop.mail.yahoo.fr. Erreur lors de
l'envoi du mot de passe. Saissez le mot de passe POP pour..." (that is:
"Impossible connection to POP server pop.mail.yahoo.fr. Encountered issue while
sending pass word. Key in POP password for...").
Keying in again the current password did not change any thing (while I may
access the mail box on line of course).
And the same with SMTP.
Then "Authentification impossible sur le serveur SMTP. La commande AUTH a
échoué. relai brisé (pipe)" (tentative translation: "Impossible authentication
to SMTP server. AUTH instruction failed. Broken "relay" (?) (pipe)"
It seemed to happen following recent automated Ubuntu system updating.
As a result, Evolution is just unusable for me at the moment.
Notice it is NOT an Yahoo issue (nor due to corrupted/wrong password) since I
tested synchronizing in/out mailbox through Thunderbird without any problem.
Thanks in advance for any help.
