audacity: Installed: 1.3.7-2ubuntu1 Symptoms ======== I use audacity with the "Status Icon 0.5" plugin. This plugin "provides a status icon, placed in the system tray area of the window manager." When I click on the status icon, the audacity window will show or hide itself. When showing, the window reappears in the last position I moved it to before it was hidden. I did an "apt-get update" followed by "apt-get upgrade" this morning. (See dpkg.log for the list of packages that changed). I rebooted the system. Now, when I click the status icon to show the audacity application, the window always appears near the top-left corner of the screen. "xwininfo" shows: Absolute upper-left X: 25 Absolute upper-left Y: 43 Relative upper-left X: 5 Relative upper-left Y: 23 Width: 275 Height: 116 Depth: 24 It doesn't matter if I drag the window to my preferred location and hide it with the status icon; the window reappears in the same upper-left spot each time. I don't think this is a bug with the audacity program. ** Affects: metacity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed -- Audacious window position forgotten on display toggle via plugins, and on restart https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/409539 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to metacity in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
