Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubuntu-artwork

The artwork has been reverted to Dapper. Now I've read this is a
conscious choice and this bug is not my way of saying I like the edgy
artwork better.

This bug is that it should definitely look *different* from older
releases so we can tell the two apart.

This means:
  - people who upgrade won't have a clear visual notice they have done so
  - people can't easily tell which version they have installed
  - people are going to complain about the fact this is called a new 'version'
where in their eyes its just a service pack: the artwork has to change for a
new release

On a personal note I would like to add that it the reversion of artwork
has this insecure-girl thing going about it: 'i dont want to go to this
party, they are not going to like my new dress'. This first thing they
are going to like about a new dress is the fact that its new. You took
an effort and its looks updates. Fresh.

Artwork is like fashion. The most import thing is to UPDATE.

If you don't like something about the artwork, change it. But don't be
insecure or talk about community standards when all those of _not
complaining_ actually liked the new artwork. And those who care change
it to their personal style anyway.

So keep it fresh. If there is no new artwork, there should be no new
name and this should just be called dapper 6.06.2

Without new artwork it is not a new release.
