The effect of the bug is the following: 1- Inkscape locks and then greys out. While locked, also locks system. 2- System looses panels, top and bottom, so metacity restarts itself without the CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE. 3- Once restarted metacity looses part of visual enhancements and also closes all opened apps. 4- System seems unstable afterwards and restarting the computer is the best option to gain stability again.
