I have this problem too. I am using the exact same Ubuntu install
(10.04) and empathy version (both up to date) on two separate machines.
Video and audio chat work perfectly except that audio is delayed by
about 2 seconds. I am testing this on a local network with a local XMPP
server - no connections are going over the internet. I would think delay
should be non-existent, but I'm not sure if there is some configuration
option somewhere which needs tweaking.
