@Serghei: Don't really know the answer. In my opinion this bug should be set to Fix released, and a new one should be reported for the netbook issue, because something has been fixed (brightness adjustment works on Maverick for the computer you've reported this bug for, and it does work for me too, thus some kind of fix has been released ).
