Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
I stopped using Evolution in favor of Thunderbird ten days ago. Now I am eager to synchronize my contacts on Ubuntu One, so I wish to abandon Thunderbird and return to Evolution. Not being expert in the interoperability of the two packages, and believing in a perfect world, I probably left Thunderbird open when I launched Evolution. For quite some time, Evolution was unable to display any recent messages in the inbox. It seems that perhaps there was a gmail (server side) problem with two imap clients attempting simultaneous access. So I quit Thunderbird, and Evolution eventually loaded all inbox messages and displayed their subjects in the "Inbox" view. Unfortunately, it will not allow me to read the messages. When I select or attempt to open a message, I get the error text "Unable to retrieve message This message is not currently available". I suspect that this is a multi-access IMAP problem. I suspect that there will be no problem if I reboot and access my account with Evolution only.
