I replaced my AA1 110L's original "linpus" with Lucid Lynx UNE on August 04, 
2010.
At the start, the battery indicator worked, and changed as the battery 
discharge.

But sometime last week I noticed for the first time that the battery
indicator didn't change when recharging.  It showed a full charge, had
no notification when hovering over the indicator (I think there used to
be one...?), and I first noticed that the battery was running out when
the battery LED started glowing in orange.

Doing repeated
cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state
shows the "remaining capacity" decreasing.  I assume that is what the indicator 
applet uses?
