I see a similar problem playing H.264 videos (1936x800, 24 fps) with MPEG-4 AAC (48khz, 159kbps) audio. Things seem OK, but by after playing the movie for tens of minutes, the sound gets out of sync by a second or more. FWIW, there are similar issues with mplayer. The video is fine on lesser hardware running Mac OS.
