I figured out a work around. Mine was being cause by my conky system monitor, which calls rhythmbox-client:
exec /usr/bin/rhythmbox-client –no-start –no-present --print-playing “%ta – %tt” This just started with this behavior. I removed this line from .conkyrc and the bug no longer presents.
