Hi,

I filed this bug report while setting up Ubuntu for a colleague on his Net
book. As far as I know he got frustrated with the experience and has
migrated to windows.

Regardless, I'd like to help settle the bug, so I'll ask him for his machine
and try replicate the error with the newest packages.
