Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

This happens very often when the computer starts up. Achter loging in,
gnome-panel starts, but doesn't draw the indicators that load very well.
Mostly some indicator icons appear double or half.

The workaround I've found is to pkill gnome-panel , which will make
gnome-panel get reloaded and then everything appears drawn correctly
