Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

This report belongs to wish list category.

The idea would be to have a field in the gnome-power-manager applet menu
to set the battery threshold (in %, time or both). This can useful as
the battery remaining time calculated can be sometimes a bit different
from the reality and one could appreciate to set a higher/lower
threshold easily.

To make it clear this field would configure the "apps/gnome-power-
manager/thresholds" entry of gconf and maybe also the
"use_time_for_policy" parameter in "apps/gnome-power-manager/general" to
choose % or time to set the threshold.

This is not much but i'm sure it would have a positive impact on user
experience (many ubuntu users are laptop users nowadays).

Feel free to modify/move the report if needed.
