You have been subscribed to a public bug: I have a Logitech MX 5500 Revolution keyboard, on which I map Caps Lock as a Control key using the Keyboard dialogue as well as various other mappings using xmodmap.
When the computer has been idle for some time (a couple of hours, it seems), the bluetooth connection is broken, and not resumed until I use the keyboard again (presumably to conserve battery power, and as such a reasonable behaviour). However, when the connection is reestablished, all keyboard settings (xmodmap and from the keyboard dialogue) are lost and must be set again in order to work (the keyboard dialogue, however, still shows the Caps Lock key to be a Control key). ** Affects: hundredpapercuts Importance: Undecided Status: Invalid ** Affects: gconf (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Incomplete -- Bluetooth keyboard loses settings when reconnecting https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/361051 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gconf in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
