The only cdrkit I could find was cdrkit-doc. I widened my scope of updates to include the proposed objects, and got a big update. Strangely, before the update, but after the chanve, cdrdao showed as uninstalled where it showed as installed before this. If brasero was looking for a specific version, its error message leaves something to be desired. Will try this again and see if this is now cleared up.
