I had spent hours trying to re-establish my network to XP after upgrading 8.04 to 10.04, but with increasing frustration.
Luckily I found "macpablosramblings" who explains the prob & the fix. Even now, the network is only working partially ---XP HOme to Ubuntu only. As a Ubuntu user, not a techie, I am not at all clear regarding networking L-L 10.04.
