not sure if you really read the previous comment on the url you mention, the bug day is only one day and is a day to triage issues not to work on the software, ie it's about cleaning the bug tracker so open ticket are useful to do work. why the bug has been closed is explained before, Ubuntu doesn't write that software and has no interest to add options to games
