ghook's suggestion works well on Ubuntu 10.04 (lucid) except that /usr/lib/gdm/gdmlogin does not exist. However, I changed that to /usr/lib/gdm/gdm-xdmcp-chooser-slave (as shown below) and that works beautifully!
/etc/gdm/custom.conf: [daemon] RemoteGreeter=/usr/lib/gdm/gdm-xdmcp-chooser-slave [xdmcp] Enable=true I tested using: $ sudo X -query <xdmcphost> :1 -- No option to log in remotely via XDMCP https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/408417 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
