@ zsolt: no it does not happen every time, that would be to easy :) It just seems to me that it mostly happens when I have the battery half full or power cord not connected. And so far it has only happened when I restart. Logout/login has not shown any visual corruption so far - it maybe a coincidence since I use it very rarely.
