Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

When attempting to connect to certain FTP servers, the login is
apparently successful, but then it gives an error message saying "Unable
to display contents of /: file is not a directory". After closing the
error message, I am unable to access any files or directories on the
server. This error occurs regardless of whether a directory is specified
or not. Other tools are able to connect to this server using the same
settings, so the problem is not likely to be on the server's side.

Nautilus able to access other FTP servers with no problems. The only
difference I can find is that the username for this server has an "@".

I have encountered this error on both ordinary 10.04 and 10.04 netbook
remix.
