Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
Two monitors are attached, both via DVI-I, the display properties correctly identifies them with their make and model but the 2nd monitor will not power up. Windows can be dragged into the visual area it occupies but they are never visible. Both monitors operate fine under Windows XP-sp3. Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit. ATI Radeon x1900 dual head display, Samsung 20" on primary Dell 19" on secondary. package gnome-control-center, using gnome-display-properties Expected behavior:- On activating the 2nd monitor it should power up and the image extend onto it. Actual Behavior:- Workspace area enlarges, windows are able to be dragged into the place the monitor should be but the monitor does not display an image or power up.
