Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
To reproduce, add several keyboard layouts (I added Norwegian, US English and Esperanto). Set one of them as standard. Result: The two others are unexpectedly deleted from the list. Furthermore, the "Key(s) to change layout" and "Key sequence to kill X server" settings are removed with the other layouts. When I add them back the default ("Both Alt keys together") is used instead of my chosen shortcut ("Right Ctrl"). Expected result: The other layouts are left alone. "Key(s) to change layout" should EITHER (1) be disabled when there is only one layout, but the software remembers it for when more layouts are added again OR (2) remain enabled, but the shortcut key handler (whichever program that is) ignores it when there is only one layout. I believe the latter is the best course, since "Key sequence to kill X server" and other options are not directly related to keyboard layouts.
