Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-system-tools
1) Boot from Edgy Eft Flight 2 x86-32 install CD. 2) Double-click "Install" icon on desktop. 3) Select "English" from language selection wizard. 4) Click in central US to zoom in on Chicago. 5) Click "Chicago". The clock at this point will be five hours behind Greenwich Mean Time. It appears that the software presumes hardware time is set to GMT rather than the local time-zone. 6) Click "Set Time" button. 7) Try to scroll hour spinner past 12. Sometimes time-admin will immediately crash if one scrolls past 12. Other times time-admin will crash upon pushing the "Close" button. This is on a standard Dell Inspiron 600m. (855MCH, ICH4M, Celeron-M 1.4 GHz, 1024 DDR-333, ATi 9000 Mobility, Dell 1370 Wireless (Broadcom chipset).) ** Affects: gnome-system-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Assignee: Ubuntu Desktop Bugs Status: Needs Info -- time-admin crashes during install wizard https://launchpad.net/bugs/58906 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
