We usually keep the bug which has the better description, or extra informations or already been forwarded upstream rather than the older one. In that case the other bug was not really better described, marking it as duplicate of that one is fine. Filling the bug to file-roller is fine, I was just pointing that figuring what is responsive for the issue might take some time and than triaging is not always done is chronological order
