Even the same issue with lenovo y410 with 10.04, brightness keys are not getting captured in any input/eventX All other features work fine. including automatic brightness control.
There is a crazy issue with this laptop. brightness value varies from 0 - 5 and 5 - 10 where 5 being the least and 0 or 10 being the heighest. to calrify more, if I use the brightness applet, the brightness is least when the slider is in the middle and increases on either side.
