Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Fresh, up-to-date lucid install. I have an iPod Touch 8GB (latest gen, latest firmware). When I plug it in, it beeps and goes to its 'connected' screen, but nothing happens on Ubuntu's end. It doesn't show up on the desktop or under Places or under rhythmbox. It does show up as an Apple device under lsusb. I reported this against rhythmbox because when I select "Scan Removable Media" in its menu the iPod beeps and reconnects again (still nothing on Ubuntu's end) but it may be a problem with udev or some other library.
