Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
When I've opened an OpenDocument file from a remote filesystem mounted with CIFS using Places -> Connect to Server, it appears in the Places -> Recent Documents as "smb: filename.odt". This is nice. However, when I select such a file from the Recent Documents menu, it is opened in Archive Manager instead of OpenOffice! The only way to open it in OpenOffice is to open if from inside OpenOffice, or to find the file in the File Browser and open it from there. To be clear: when I double click such a file in the File Browser it is opened in OpenOffice just like you would expect, and OpenOffice is the first listed item in the file's context menu. It's just from the Recent Documents menu that it is opened with the wrong program.
