Whatever has installed that /home/ajlewis2/.local/share/mime/packages/Override.xml and /home/ajlewis2/.local/share/mime/application/x-extension-png.xml is responsive for your issue, that's not due to nautilus or the distribution. Move those files away and your issue should be fixed
