This was a joke, I hope. Applications installed by default do have the same look (with a small exception of Firefox) but do you know anyone, who's using only default set of applications? I don't.
Why is Ubuntu offering few thousands of packages in repositories since you are not willing/capable to provide appropriate support for most of them (those not installed by default)?
